ICISS 2025 : 21st International Conference on Information Systems Security
The International Conference on Information Systems Security (ICISS), held annually in India, brings together researchers, students, and industry professionals from across the globe to share and discuss ideas in computer security. It provides an interactive platform for exchanging research and insights. ICISS 2025, the 21st edition of the conference, will be held at IIT Indore from December 16 to 20, 2025. The conference will include high quality technical papers, a set of visionary/invited papers on important and timely topics from well-known leaders in the field, and a session on the work in progress.
ICISS welcomes submissions on wide range of information security research, including but not limited to the following:
Access control and authentication
Applied cryptography
Audit and risk analysis
Big data security and privacy
Blockchain security
Cloud security and privacy
Critical infrastructure security
Cyber-physical systems security
Data and applications security
Digital forensics
Hardware security
Human aspects of security and privacy
Identity management

Submission Guidelines
The 21st ICISS solicits previously unpublished original research works in the form of research papers typeset in English, using the LNCS template. The submissions must be anonymous (double-blind peer review process will be followed; read the guidelines carefully), compiled as a single PDF file and should not exceed 20 pages; including the bibliography and well-marked appendices. SoK-type of submissions are also welcome; during submission, choose “Research Papers (SoK)” sub-track. Submissions can be done under 2 distinct tracks: regular research track and industry/demo track. Like previous editions, the 21st ICISS will feature a Best Paper Award category. Additionally, extended versions of selected accepted papers will be invited for publication in SADHANA, the journal of the Indian Academy of Sciences.
Key points for “Regular Papers” track:
Double-blind review process (follow these submission guidelines). No author name/affiliation, 20-page long
Proceedings will be published by Springer LNCS (prepare your manuscript using this LaTeX template)
TPC may recommend shortening some papers with incomplete results but are interesting (8-pages long)
This year, we will also accept PoCs of security applications under a separate demo track and allow submission of artefacts.
Similar to the previous edition, this year ICISS will also feature the Best Paper Award.
Out of the papers accepted for publication at ICISS 2025, a select few outstanding papers will be invited in their extended form to be published in the Indian Academy of Science's journal Sadhana. The program committee may ask some authors to shorten their paper to a short paper of 8 pages to be presented in a poster session, instead of a plenary session.
At least one author of each accepted paper is required to register for the conference at the full rate and the paper must be presented by an author of that paper at the conference unless the TPC co-chairs grant permission for a substitute presenter before the conference. Non-refundable registration fees must be paid prior to uploading the final correctly formatted, publication-ready version of the paper. Accepted and presented papers will be published in the Springer LNCS proceedings.
Important Dates
Submission deadline July 10, 2025 (AoE).
Announcement of Results September 30, 2025.
Camera-Ready October 15, 2025.
