CARS 2025 : IEEE 5th Cyber Awareness and Research Symposium 2025
IEEE 5th Cyber Awareness and Research Symposium 2025 (CARS'25)
University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, ND
October 28 - 30, 2025 (In-person & Online)
We are pleased to announce that the IEEE 5th Cyber Awareness and Research Symposium 2025 (CARS’25) will be held from October 28 to 30, 2025. The IEEE Cyber Awareness and Research Symposium (CARS) is a premier event that brings together researchers, industry leaders, and students to explore cutting-edge cybersecurity challenges and advancements.
Jointly organized by the Center for Cyber Security Research (C2SR), IEEE Red River Valley Section, IEEE Region 4, and University IT (UIT), CARS provides a unique platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and hands-on learning in the evolving fields of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI), and critical infrastructure protection.
The conference will be conducted in hybrid format, with in-person sessions hosted at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, ND, USA. The aim of the conference is to bring together scholars from various disciplines to promote the dissemination of ongoing research in the areas of cybersecurity and AI.
We invite original research papers in the aforementioned domains and related technologies. The conference will feature a peer-reviewed program of technical sessions, and this year we are excited to introduce five special sessions:
Special Sessions
• Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare, and Security Applications
• Secure and Interpretable AI for Large-Scale Models
• Power Grid Security Applications
• Autonomous Systems & Security
• Use Cases of AI/ML in Engineering Education
General and Other Emerging Areas Track
We also welcome Capture the Flag (CTF) teams, Ph.D. research posters, and student-focused competitions, with cash prizes awarded to top participants in selected categories.
All accepted papers will be presented either physically or virtually during the conference and will be submitted for publication in the IEEE Xplore® digital library (indexed by Google Scholar).
