About the Conference
The Scandinavian Conference on Image Analysis (SCIA2027), organized by NOBIM and NTNU’s Colourlab in Gjøvik, connects professionals in image and video analysis. Its goal is to encourage collaboration across academia, industry, and the public sector while highlighting premium research in computer vision and pattern recognition.
SCIA welcomes both groundbreaking theoretical developments and applications in emerging areas, including but not limited to:
- 3D Vision from Multiview and Other Sensors
- Action and Behavior Recognition
- Biometrics, Faces, Body Gestures, and Pose Estimation
- Computational Photography
- Datasets and Evaluation Methodologies
- Detection, Recognition, Classification, and Localization in 2D and/or 3D
- Vision + Language (+ Other Modalities)
- Vision Applications and Systems
- Vision for Robotics and Autonomous Vehicles
- Explainable AI for Computer Vision
- Foundation models for Computer Vision
- Image and Video Processing, Analysis, Imaging, and Understanding
- Low-Level and Physics-Based Vision
- Machine Learning Techniques
- Medical and Biomedical Image Analysis
- Motion Analysis and Tracking
- Scene, Text, and Document Analysis and Understanding
- Segmentation, Grouping, and Shape Analysis
Two types of submissions are accepted:
- Full paper: Original and unpublished work. Accepted papers will be included in the conference programme and they will be submitted for publication in Springer LNCS.
- Abstract only: Accepted abstracts will be included in the conference programme, but they will not be submitted for publication in the proceedings.
